CAMILING, Tarlac- At around 8:45pm last night, a team of the 32nd Mechanized Infantry Company encountered unknown heavily armed men in Bgy Bobon, Caarosipan, Camiling, Tarlac.
Seven of the bandits were killed in the firefight with the Army soldiers.
The soldiers seized 7 high-powered firearms from the dead bandits who were left behind by their comrades who ran to save their own lives.
No one among the soldiers were harmed in the said firefight.
The identities of the dead bandits are still unknown as of this time.
The cadavers were brought to the nearby village center to be claimed by relatives and to be given a decent burial.
A small group of bandits are still roaming in the outskirts of Tarlac.
Soldiers regularly received reports from residents about the extortion activities of the bandits.
