FORT BONIFACIO, Taguig City – Three more newly promoted Army generals were donned their new ranks here Friday, 20 April 2012 through a
formal ceremony, an Army official said.
Major
Harold Cabunoc, Army spokesperson said that a total of 20 Army officers
have received their new ranks from Lt Gen Emmanuel Bautista, Commanding General of
the Philippine Army for this year.
Bautista
led the donning of ranks ceremony at around 7:30am to the newly promoted Brigadier
Generals including Brig Gen Danilo M Servando, Brig Gen Ramon C Cabal and Brig
Gen Ramon Mateo U Dizon.
The ceremony that was held
in the Army Commander's lounge was attended by senior staff officers and the wives
of the promotees.
Servando
is currently the Deputy Commander of the Army Support Command while Cabal
serves as the Quarter Master General in the Armed Forces of the Philippines
(AFP).
Dizon on the other hand is the Commander of the Presidential Security
Group, a special force ensuring the security and safety of the Commander in
Chief, President Benigno Simeon Aquino, III.
Last
April 04, seventeen other Generals were donned with their new ranks as Major Generals,
Brigadier Generals and Lieutenant Generals.
Designating
the right people in the military key positions is crucial, thus, the promotion of
senior military officers.
It is to ensure that momentum is maintained and
efforts are intensified in bringing peace and stability in the country.
