The Philippine Army will participate in the 2011 AFP Challenge that will formally start inside the AFP headquarters in Camp Aguinaldo at around 2:00pm today (Nov 15).
The AFP Challenge is a friendly sports competition among the three branches of the AFP. Included in the events are Fun Games, Tug of War,Shooting, Basketball, Cross Country, Mass synchronized Arnis, Company Run and Fun Run.
The various events will be played in different schedules starting today. The last event, Fun Run, will be held on December 18 inside Camp Aguinaldo.
AFP Chief General Eduardo SL Oban will grace the occasion of the opening ceremonies.
The purpose of the competition is to promote physical fitness and sports development in the AFP.
The Philippine Army teams are the force to reckon with in this yearly competition.
