Aerial Photos of Davao and Compostela Valley

We started our trip from Francisco Bangoy International Airport in Davao City

The residential area of Davao City that surrounds Francisco Bangoy International Airport.

The main highway linking Davao City and North Cotabato. Mt Apo is towering in the horizon but it is hiding behind the clouds when I took this photo at around 2:30pm.

Quarry area

The vast farm lands of Davao

Pan-Philippine Highway traversing the vast plains of Davao del Norte. This road links Davao provinces to Agusan and Compostela Valley.

Lasang River

The urban jungle of Tagum City

Sarawak River flows towards Tagum, Davao Del Norte. The road is heading towards Mati, Davao Oriental, passing through the town of Pantukan, Compostela Valley

This is the terrain in Compostela Valley Province

The fertile plains of Davao Del Norte are covered by vast banana plantations . You can see  Davao Gulf that separates Mabini town and Panabo.

Lasang River drains here. Samal Island is in the horizon.

Seated behind the pilot, I took this photo of the lead chopper as it approaches Davao City

The island-paradise of Samal

Mission accomplished

  2. Yes, tama yan.

  5. Try to visit the place! :-)

Just avoid the hinterlands especially on a military vehicle which is normally targeted by NPA terrorists in their landmine attacks. Very sad about that. I am sure your man and his unit are doing something that this problem will be addressed.

The local government there is very eager to solve the problem on banditry, through the help of the police and the military. They are even putting up the longest zipline in Asia right inside 10ID's camp. :-)
